Michael Bickel

Board Chair

Mike Bickel, a native of Albuquerque, has dedicated his professional career to the banking and financial services industry. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas/Austin and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. He actively serves the community through various board memberships.

Ricardo Devine

Vice Chair

Ricardo Devine was born in El Salvador and raised in the United States, now calling Colorado home. He holds a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Ricardo currently serves as Executive Director of The Rock at Noonday, a homeless day shelter in Albuquerque, where he leads efforts to provide compassionate, Christ-centered care to those in need.

James Montoya

Treasurer

James Montoya is a native of New Mexico and a principal at REDW Advisors & CPAs. With over 25 years of CPA experience, James has served on several Albuquerque community boards. He is an alumnus of St. Michael’s High School and has a strong commitment to public service.

Charles archuleta

Governance Chair

Charles Archuleta was raised on the San Juan River near Blanco, New Mexico. He holds degrees in Anthropology and Biology from the University of New Mexico and a J.D. from Boston University. He has extensive expertise in corporate and employment law and a deep interest in helping the underserved.

Diana Berger

Secretary/Development Chair

Diana Berger was born and raised in Albuquerque. She holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Human Resources from Gonzaga University. Diana serves as Chief Administrative Officer at Palms Trading Company.

Lanell Anderson

Member-at-Large

Lanell Anderson has managed a State Farm Insurance Agency, providing insurance and financial services to the community for more than thirty years. She previously served on the St. Pius Foundation Board and is committed to Catholic Charities’ mission.

Board Member

Pat Schroeder is the Marketing Director at Key Impact Sales & Systems, Inc. He is a graduate of Central New Mexico Community College, focusing on Management, and is active in various church ministries including the Knights of Columbus.

Sarah Zalud-Cerrato

Board Member

Sarah Zalud-Cerrato is an experienced health care professional, strategist and grant writer with more than 20 years of experience. Through positions at Presbyterian Health Services and Press Ganey, Sarah has expanded health services in diabetes prevention and rural health equity. Sarah is committed to supporting New Mexican families in need as part of the Catholic Charities board.

Alan Weitzel

Board Member

Alan Weitzel is the owner of A. Weitzel Consulting LLC. He has served on the Board of the Albuquerque Museum Foundation for six years and is inspired by Catholic Charities’ mission and programs.

Paula Maes

Board Member

Paula Maes recently retired from the New Mexico Broadcasters Association after nearly 30 years as its Executive Director. She is the host of the Cumulus Radio show, Weekend Magazine. She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in journalism. Her commitment to the community and public service is evident in her service on the board of the Foundation of Open Government, APS Foundation, and the Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico.

Michael Martin

Board Member

Michael Martin is a dedicated Loan Officer at Mortgage Solutions Financial and he’s passionate about helping others. He has 15 years of experience in the banking industry, and currently works in mortgage lending, where he helps families navigate homeownership and make informed financial decisions. He is deeply committed to community service and previously served on the board of the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico, where he contributed meaningfully to its mission and governance.
